Concept

Photogrammetry is a 3D scanning method for transforming real objects into 3D computer models.

We can create 3D models from sculptures though the buildings to entire streets. It is possible for us to prepare a 3D models of a real person.

 

Application

3D models can be retouched or displayed in a new context. This is an interesting solution for road construction's plannings or pre-visualization of old architecture's renovations.

Photogrammetry could bring contribution to creating a digital archive. For example, museum collections could be digitally accessible to  public or old buildings meant to be replace, could be digitally recorded.
